In the label competition for the wine kunst.stück Vernatsch 2023 we were pleased to receive 170 entries. The jury was literally spoiled for choice to select the five finalists. The standard was also extremely high this year. The five finalists have now been determined and now the public decides which label the wine kunst.stück Vernatsch 2023 will bear.
Everyone who votes also takes part in the competition - three magnum bottles of the new kunst.stück will be raffled off among all participants.
The theme of this year's competition was: Character over generations.
The 2023 vintage of kunst.stück was vinified with the Vernatsch (Schiava) grape variety. Vernatsch (Schiava in Italian) is an indigenous grape variety from Alto Adige that has played an important role in Kaltern since the beginning of viticulture and has developed over many generations. The grapes for this wine originate from two vineyards: a historic vineyard on traditionl Pergola, which is over 100 years old, and a young vineyard on Guyot, which is 15 years old. This combination of tradition and innovation, which has grown over many generations, is intended to reflect the timeless character and the development of Vernatsch.
